Not Familiar With Powder Coating?
It is a finishing technique that is becoming very popular on our custom steel fences. This process applies dry paint to the steel custom fence. Solids are initially suspended in a liquid and then applied, which quickly evaporates, leaving behind the coating. Though it may seem a little odd, as it is using a liquid in the process, it is actually a more environmentally friendly way to finish iron fences or industrial steel fences. For, contemporary liquid paints are infused with solvents known as volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, which create pollutants. Whereas large quantities of VOCs are dispersed during the wet paint process, the powder coatings release very little pollutants to the atmosphere. Another benefit to the powder coating process allows the overspray to be retrieved and reused, thus reducing or eliminating waste.
The powder coating finish eliminates drips or runs, as opposed to wet painting, as well. The finish is more durable and is more resistant to heat, corrosion and scratches. For years longer, your fences will hold up to the elements a great deal longer and retain a newly painted look.
